Philanthropy

Philanthropy literally translates to "love of humankind." Education is one of the greatest gifts you can make. It has an impact today, helping our children find their voice and unlocking their potential. It also shapes the future for years to come, as the next generation grows up to become the leaders of tomorrow, empowered to change the world for the better.

Giving Initiatives

Each of our giving initiatives represents a different way you can create possibilities for our school and children, and they work together to create the best experience for our students, now and for years to come.

Annual Fund

Did you know tuition does not cover the full cost of an exceptional education at Blue House Preschool and Trinity Episcopal School? As an independent school, we do not receive financial support from a parish, the Episcopal Diocese, or the government. The Annual Fund pays for annual expenses like our forward-thinking curriculum, classroom supplies, faculty salaries, facility operations, and much more.

The Trinity Promise

Capital campaigns enhance school programs through campus improvements. We are in the final stages of our latest capital campaign, The Trinity Promise. This multi-year effort has added a new building and expanded our indoor learning spaces by 31%. New spaces include a gym, theater, music classrooms, and dance/yoga studio. Though the structure is the most visible part of the campaign, the true impact will be how it allows us to expand and improve our programs and student experiences.

SHINE

We see ourselves as a private school with a public purpose. Our SHINE program serves students from Title 1 schools who unfortunately don't regularly have access to the type of resources our students enjoy on a daily basis. For six weeks each summer, we host about 100 students on our campus who are then invited to return every summer from grades 1–8. SHINE minimizes summer learning loss, bolsters academic achievement, and instills the confidence that kids need to thrive.

SHINE works with students from Title 1 schools, developing the skills and confidence to help them thrive. Low-income students are six times more likely to drop out of high school and fewer than one-third will enroll in college.

Special Events

Special events are opportunities to bring our community together. Some are designated as fundraisers, such as our big biennial spring event and others are solely “friend raisers.” All are important and offer a time to celebrate the Trinity family. Email Chief Development Officer Kristi Katz (kkatz@austintrinity.org) to learn more.

Events like Trinity City Limits bring our community together for a common cause and a night of fellowship and fun.

Planned Giving

Planned gifts are estate planning options that can be highly effective ways to advance the Trinity mission and support future generations of students. Families may even give to their own relatives and loved ones while also helping the school.

Endowments

An endowment is the ultimate source of long-term security because it provides perpetual support. Some gifts to endowments are restricted to a specific purpose. Others can be to our general endowment, which supports areas of greatest need.
