Age Groups

We have a September 1 cutoff date, meaning that students must be a certain age by that date to be eligible for a particular program. It's normal for children to develop at different paces for different milestones, and we differentiate our instruction to teach to each child's strengths and struggles.

Preschool student playing on the playground

PK Two

Participants must turn 2 years old by September 1 to be eligible. Young learners learn through play, expand language, navigate emotions, develop motor skills, and start problem-solving through experimentation.

Preschool students exploring slime

PK Three

Participants must turn 3 years old by September 1 to be eligible. Language skills allow for more complex conversation, imaginative play rules emerge, motor skills are becoming more integrated, and problem-solving starts to include basic cause-and-effect relationships.

PK Four

Participants must turn 4 years old by September 1 to be eligible. Kids show improved independence, language and listening skills, understanding of emotions, ability to focus, problem-solving, and peer relationships.

Bridging K

Participants must turn 5 years old by September 1 to be eligible. Some children benefit from an extra year of preschool, and our Bridging Kindergarten program is all about building readiness and confidence for the big leap to kindergarten.
