Common Questions About Admission

Below are answers to common questions about admission to Blue House Preschool. If you can't find what you're looking for, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Admission Team! Email admission@austintrinity.org, or call us at 512-472-9525.

Application

Complete an inquiry form in minutes to create or update your applicant account for this admission season.

Acceptance into Blue House Preschool is not an automatic acceptance into kindergarten at Trinity Episcopal School. When your child is eligible for kindergarten you must go through the full admission process for Trinity. We will send you admission decisions a week earlier than kindergarten applicants from other preschools.

Applications open October 1, and the deadline is November 30 for all age levels. Applications received after the deadline will require an additional fee and will be treated on a case-by-case basis. Late applications are considered only after all of the regular season applications have been reviewed and if there is space available. If or when space is available, the admissions team will contact you to continue the application process.

The application fee is $150 for those who apply by November 30. The application fee for late applicants is $200. If this fee present a hardship, we will be happy to waive it — just let us know! The application fee for financial assistance is $55, but it's automatically waived for qualifying applicants.

The average award for financial assistance for the 2023-2024 school year was 38% of all tuition and fees. We partner with a service called Clarity, an impartial third-party platform that helps you manage your application for tuition assistance. Clarity is easy to use and affordable (the $55 fee is waived for qualifying applicants), and they offer customer service in both English and Spanish (support@claritytuition.com). The deadline to apply for financial assistance is the same deadline to apply for enrollment: November 30.

Look through our website and promotional materials, talk about Blue House Preschool with your child, participate in admission events (we offer opportunities for children and parents), and take a campus tour.

Visiting Campus

You don't truly know a school until you get on campus, so we invite you to join us for an event or tour! The events listed are geared for parents, but your child will have an opportunity to participate in a playdate as part of the admission process.

Attending multiple admission events will not give you any edge or advantage in terms of admittance. We are here to provide you with as much information as you need, and we love to see you at our events. However, please do not feel like you have to attend multiple events.

Navigating the admission process is extra tough if you're coming from another city and haven't settled in, yet. Help us help you by emailing our admission team at admission@austintrinity.org! We're here to accommodate your needs. We make every effort to be transparent about our application timeline and requirements. If your family has specific needs due to relocation, please contact us to discuss alternatives.

Decisions

We communicate admission decisions in mid December for PK2, PK3 and PK4 and early March for Bridging K.

Our main entry points are PK Two and PK Three. We are committed to families who want to be here and share our core values and approach to education, so we encourage you to apply regardless of age level.

We typically do not admit students after the school year has begun.
